Living by Truth Is the Password to Every Door

ਤੇਰਾ ਤਾਣੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ॥
tayraa taan toohai deebaan.
The Power is Yours; You are my only Support.
ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਚੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥
gur kaa sabad sach neesaan.
The Word of the Guru's Shabad is my true password.
ਮੰਨੇ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਸੁ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
mannay hukam so pargat jaa-ay.
One who obeys the Hukam of the Lord's Command, goes to Him openly.
ਸਚੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੈ ਠਾਕ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥੩॥
sach neesaanai thaak na paa-ay. ||3||
With the password of truth, his way is not blocked. ||3||

In plain words

All the power is Yours; You are my only support.

The Guru's Word is my true password.

The one who lives by the One's flow walks in openly — with the password of truth, no gate is shut.

Living by truth is the one password that opens every door that matters.
The deeper layer

This one says living by truth is the password that opens every door.

Tayraa taan toohai deebaan — the power is Yours; You are my support. Then a vivid picture. Gur kaa sabad sach neesaan — the Guru's Word is my true password (neesaan).

Think of the password that opens a tablet. Without it, you stay stuck on the lock screen. With it, you walk right in. Living by the Hukam, the One's will and flow, is that pass. Mannay hukam so pargat jaa-ay — whoever accepts the Hukam goes to the One openly. There's no sneaking, and thaak na paa-ay — nothing blocks the way.

Following the Hukam isn't being tied up. It is the very thing that opens every door.

A Question to Sit With

What gets you through a door honestly, that no trick or shortcut ever could?
