meeting with the Guru, the Lord, devotion was implanted within me. ||4||

In plain words

Such is my Friend and Companion:

when I met the Guru, love for the One was planted in me.

Love for the One isn't forced into being — it's planted, and then it grows.
The deeper layer

This one says the One is a true Friend, and love for the One is planted in us by the Guru.

Aisaa hamraa sakhaa sahaa-ee — "such is my Friend and Companion." The One is not a distant boss. This is a close friendship. Another shabad in Aasaa says it too: there is no friend like You.

Gur har mili-aa bhagat drirhaa-ee — meeting the Guru, bhagat (loving devotion) was planted inside me. You do not make this love by trying harder and harder. It is like a seed a gardener puts in the ground. The Guru plants it, and it grows.

A Question to Sit With

What good thing was "planted" in you by someone, that later grew on its own?
