Verse 3 of 5

Live by the Deep Order and the Gifts Flow Freely

karnee kaar Dharahu furmaa-ee.
He does his deeds according to the Lord's Primal Command.
bin sabdai ko thaa-ay na paa-ee.
Without the Shabad, no one is approved.
karnee keerat naam vasaa-ee.
Singing the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises, the Naam abides within the mind.
aapay dayvai dhil na paa-ee. ||2||
He Himself gives His gifts, without hesitation. ||2||

In plain words

He acts according to the One's own ancient order; and without the Word, no one is accepted.

Singing the One's praises, the Name settles in the mind —

and the One gives His gifts freely, without holding back.

Live by the deep order of things, and the gifts flow freely, without stint.
The deeper layer

Living by the Hukam ("the Lord's Primal Command") and the Shabad is what makes a life "approved." And the One gives "without hesitation" — generosity that does not calculate or stint. The servant aligns with the order and receives, freely, what flows from it.

A Question to Sit With

What comes more easily when you stop fighting the way things actually work?
