Those you bind yourself to will all pass away.
Build on false alliances, and you will be left regretting it in the end.
Whatever is built on falseness cannot last. My alliance is with the One — and no one is more powerful.
Everything you lean on for safety can pass away — except the One.
A clear-eyed look at worldly alliances: "those with whom you form alliances shall perish." Everything you lean on for security is itself impermanent, so leaning there ends in regret. Only the One "shall last" and is more powerful than any faction — the one ally who outlives every alliance.
A Question to Sit With
What have you leaned on for safety that turned out not to last?
