Keep me under Your shelter, Beloved Master of the universe; make my faith come true, O Lord of the world.
Servant Nanak's mind overflows with bliss when he beholds the Beloved, even for an instant.
A single instant of really seeing what you love can flood you with joy.
The ache resolves not in possession but in a glimpse: "Nanak's mind is filled with bliss when he beholds the Darshan, even for an instant." A single instant of seeing is enough to flood the soul with joy. The longing of the whole shabad is answered by the smallest sight — and the prayer is simply to be kept under shelter and have one's faith fulfilled.
A Question to Sit With
When has even a brief glimpse of someone or something you love filled you with happiness?
