In plain words

I heard of His teaching, and so I came to the true Guru.

The Guru planted the Mantra of the Name within me.

And now I live in the home of my own self, singing the praises of the Infinite One. I have met God, says Nanak, and become free of care.

The Name plants you back in the home of your own self, and the worry lifts.
The deeper layer

The Name brings you back home to your own true self.

Sun updays satgur peh aa-i-aa — I heard the teaching, so I came to the true Guru. The Guru planted the mantar of the Name deep in me. A mantar is a sacred word you keep repeating.

At once the soul is back home. Nij ghar vasi-aa — I live in my own inner home now, singing the praises of the Endless One. Maya had kept the soul locked out. The Name opens the door. Think of a seed planted in good soil. Once it takes root, the wind cannot blow it away. Prabh mili-o naanak bha-ay achintaa — says Nanak, I met the One and became free of worry. What no amount of trying could do, the planted Name does.
