She is now my servant, and the Guru has made me intimate with the Lord. ||1||Second Pause||4||4||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Now my home is my own, and the one who was the mistress is now my servant —

for the Guru has made me close to the One.

Mastered, the pull of illusion becomes a servant in a house that is finally your own.
The deeper layer

Once she is put in her place, Maya becomes a helper in your own house.

This is a second Rahao, a second "pause" line, and it closes the big turnaround. Ghar mayraa ih naa-ik hamaaree — the home is mine again, and Maya, who ran it, now works for me.

She is not destroyed. She is moved back to her proper job. Another shabad (Shabad 92) uses the same picture. Think of a phone that used to run your whole day. Now it is a handy tool in your pocket that you pick up when you choose. The Guru has made the soul close to the One. So it runs its own house again, with Maya helping instead of ruling.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to be the master of something that used to master you?
