O Nanak, the Guru instructs the mistaken soul.
ਏਕੁ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਟਿਕਾਵੈ ॥੮॥੬॥
ayk dikhaavai saach tikaavai. ||8||6||
He implants the Truth within him, and shows him the One Lord. ||8||6||

Nanak says: when someone has lost the way, the Guru sets them right.
The Guru shows them the One and plants them firmly in Truth.
The Guru sets a lost heart right and plants it firmly in Truth.
When you lose your way, the Guru sets you right, shows you the One, and plants you in Truth.
Naanak bhoole gur samjhaavai — the Guru instructs the mistaken heart. Ek dikhaavai saach tikaavai: the Guru shows the One and plants you in saach, what is true, ending the wobble the hymn opened with.
