In plain words

Dhanna served the One with the simple trust of a child.

Trilochan met the Guru and became complete. The Guru lit up Beni with an inner light.

O my mind, you too, become the One's servant.

Simple, childlike trust in the One is enough — you do not have to be clever.
The deeper layer

A simple, trusting heart like a child's is enough.

Dhannai sayvi-aa baal buDh means Dhanna served the One with a child's mind, plain and trusting. That trust carried him all the way.

Trilochan met the Guru and reached siDh, being spiritually complete. Baynee was given pargaas, an inner light.

Think of a little child who jumps into a parent's arms without a single worry. The songs here praise that kind of trust, not cleverness.

The verse ends with ray man too bhee hohi daas. It means my mind, you too, become the One's own servant, someone who belongs to the One.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you trust so simply that you never even worry about it?
