In plain words

Sanda and Marka went to the king to complain.

He sent for Prahlaad to come at once.

He told him, "Stop your habit of saying the Naam of Raam. Do as I say, and I will set you free at once."

Sometimes the world offers you an easy way out if you will just let go of what you love.
The deeper layer

Sometimes someone offers an easy way out, if you will just let go of what you love. Sanda and Marka, Prahlaad's teachers, went to complain to the king, his own father. Parahlaad bulaa-ay bayg Dhaa-ay — the king sent for Prahlaad to come at once.

His order was simple. Too raam kahan kee chhod baan — stop your habit of saying the Name. He promised to set Prahlaad free if he obeyed.

Think of someone saying, "Drop your best friend, and you can join our group." It sounds easy. But some things are worth more than an easy way out.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever been offered something easy in exchange for giving up something important?
