Everything Settles in Natural Ease

ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹਿਰਾਨੀ ਬਨਜੁ ਟੂਟ ॥
poonjee hiraanee banaj toot.
Their capital is exhausted, and their trade is ruined.
ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਟਾਂਡੋ ਗਇਓ ਫੂਟਿ ॥
dah dis taaNdo ga-i-o foot.
The caravan is scattered in the ten directions.
ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਮਨ ਸਰਸੀ ਕਾਜ ॥
kahi kabeer man sarsee kaaj.
Says Kabir, O mortal, your tasks will be accomplished,
ਸਹਜ ਸਮਾਨੋ ਤ ਭਰਮ ਭਾਜ ॥੩॥੬॥
sahj samaano ta bharam bhaaj. ||3||6||
when you merge in the Celestial Lord; let your doubts run away. ||3||6||

In plain words

The money is all spent, and the business is ruined.

The whole caravan scatters in all ten directions.

Kabir says: O mind, your work will be done

when you settle into the One with quiet, natural ease. Then let your doubts run away.

Rest in natural ease with the One, and what you need falls into place.
The deeper layer

The losing trade ends with nothing left, and settling into the One brings an easy calm where doubt runs off.

Poonjee hiraanee — the money is gone. The business falls apart. The caravan scatters dah dis, in all ten directions. All that effort, and nothing is left.

Then comes the turn. Sahj samaano means settle into sahaj — the quiet, natural ease of resting in the One. Ta bharam bhaaj — then doubt runs away. Think of a snow globe after you stop shaking it. The flakes settle, and you can see clearly again. When the mind settles like that, the work that matters gets done quietly.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel most at ease, like you do not have to try so hard?
