Pauri 0 pours out gratitude (balihaaree) for the company that leans on the Name and credits the Guru with planting the Name and ferrying us across. Pauri 1 begins the famous blessing of the body parts — blessed the tongue that sings, the ears that listen, the head that bows. Pauri 2 continues it outward into action — eyes that behold the holy, hands that write and make, feet that walk the path of Dharam. Pauri 3 widens to the cosmos: earth, sky, netherworlds, wind, water, fire, forest and field all already singing — and the one who joins the song is "robed in honor."

Second, and full of wonder: the whole world is already singing. The ground, the sky, the wind, the water, the fire, the forests and fields are all humming the same song — and you don't have to start it or force it. You just get to join in.
