The One is the singer and the sage and the one who explains the deep old questions.
The One shows up in every role people play — the holy one, the seeker, the wanderer, all of it.
The One talks with itself, teaches itself, and is wise and graceful through and through.
Staging the whole grand play, the One watches it unfold and knows every single heart.
This one says the whole world is one great play, and the same One plays every part.
Aapay means "the One Himself," and the verse says it again and again. The One is the angel and the heavenly singer. The One explains the six schools of thought.
The verse even says the One is Shiva, Shankara and Mahaysh, names for great Hindu deities. The One is the yogi, and also the pleasure-seeker, and also the sannyaasee, the wanderer who gives up home.
Holy roles and worldly roles alike are the One playing a part. Behind every form, every deity and every kind of person is the same single Source. This is not disrespect to anyone's gods. It says that all of them point back to one Source.
Think of a school play where one actor plays every character, changing costumes backstage. And that same actor is also sitting in the audience, watching.
Aapnaa choj kar vaykhai aapay — the One stages this play and watches it. And the One knows every heart.
If life is a bit like a play, what part are you playing today — and who's really behind it all?
