Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Every living thing is Yours, and You are the true wealth of us all.
Whoever You give to has everything — there's no one else quite like You.
You alone are the great Giver; I bring my little prayer to You.
Your wonderful play unfolds everywhere, and I lay both my sorrows and my joys in Your hands.
The second Pauree deepens the belonging-theme into trust: "all beings are Yours; You are the wealth of all." The tender ending is the model of a whole relationship with the One: dukh sukh terai vas — "I place my pain and pleasure before You." Not just the good days — the hard ones too are brought and laid down, trusted to a fair and loving One. The phrase achraj teri kudrat — "Your wondrous play/Nature is everywhere" — invites vismaad, wonder at creation, one of the Vaar's quiet undertones.
What would it feel like to hand over a worry you've been holding tightly?
