We can't know exactly how our story ends — and that's okay.
If we keep what's good close to our hearts, even endings can feel gentle, not scary.
Most people are frightened of endings and cling hard to more.
But quiet the grasping self while you're fully alive, and you understand the deep flow of things — and truly live.
This Shalok answers Kabir's (P49) in the third Guru's voice: "What do I know how I will die?... If I do not forget the Lord from my mind, then my death will be easy." The honest human fear is named — "the world is terrified of death; everyone longs to live" — and answered gently: a heart that keeps the One close finds even endings sahaylaa, easy, unfrightening. The qMonk voice keeps this as reassurance, not morbidity — the deep peace of a heart so full of good that endings lose their terror. "One who dies while alive lives forever" seals the Vaar's central paradox.
What helps you feel calm and safe when you think about scary or uncertain things?
