How can I describe the state and the condition, O Lord, of those many sinners you have purified?

Ravi Daas, the leather-worker, who worked with hides and carried dead animals was saved, by entering the Lord's Sanctuary. ||3||

How could anyone even count all the people the One has lifted and made clean?
There was a devoted man who worked with animal hides and leather — the kind of work his society looked down on — and by turning to the One's shelter, he was lifted right up. No starting place is too low.
The One lifts everyone home — no starting place is too low to be raised.
The One lifts the very person the world ranked lowest. Tradition names the cham chamray, the leather-worker, as Ravi Daas, whose own hymns stand in the Guru Granth Sahib. He is lifted through sanctuary, not birth: Guru Nanak's open door, carried forward.
A Question to Sit With
Have you ever seen someone treated as 'less' who turned out to be wonderful?
