Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Know the One you came from.

I meditated on the Supreme One, and found peace, ease and freedom.

Knowing where you come from helps you know who you are.
The deeper layer

Knowing your source brings well-being. jis tay upji-aa tiseh pachhaan — know the source you arose from; recognition, not acquisition. paarbarahm parmaysar Dhi-aa-i-aa — meditating on the Supreme One. kusal khaym ho-ay kali-aan — well-being, ease, wholeness.

A Question to Sit With

What do you know about where you come from that helps you feel steady?
