In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

I cannot put the praise of my God into words. No words are big enough.

So I let go of everything else and hold on to the shelter of the One.

*Some things are too wonderful for words -- so you simply rest in them.*
The deeper layer

When praise outgrows every word, rest in the shelter of the One.

This is the rahau, set at the head of the hymn. upmaa jaat na kahee -- 'His praise cannot be told,' repeated for emphasis. taj aan saran gahee -- leaving all else, grasping the shelter. Wonder that ends in rest, not in more words.

A Question to Sit With

What do you love so much that words don't feel big enough for it?
