Servant Nanak blossoms forth in the Naam, the Name of the Lord; he is lovingly attuned to the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The heart is glad in the One when the One is glad in it — love flowing both ways.
My eyes are pulled toward that love the way your gaze snaps to the thing you cannot look away from.
The perfect Guru brought me to the One, and I am satisfied by its sweetness. Nanak says: I blossom in the Name and lean toward it with all my love.
Love flows both ways — glad in the One, and the One glad in you.
Raavee-aa jaaN bhaa-ee — enjoyed when the One is pleased: mutual delight, love flowing both ways. Akhee prem kasaa-ee ji-o bilak masaa-ee — the eyes drawn as a cat is drawn to a mouse: attention that cannot turn away. Aaghaa-ee: satisfied. Vigsiaa: blossomed.
