In plain words

We find the Ocean of Peace when the good in us wakes up. Let go of keeping score of who is honored and who is not, and simply hold on to the One.

Set down cleverness and little tricks, and let go of the tangled, restless thinking.

Nanak says: take shelter with the One, the true King — and the love that holds you will be steady and lasting.

Stop keeping score of who is up and who is down — just hold on to what is real.
The deeper layer

Bhaago (destiny awakened): the good in us waking up. Maanan maan vanjaa-eeai: giving up the honor-and-dishonor scorekeeping. Chhod siaanap chaaturee: dropping cleverness and trickery. Durmat tiaago: letting go of tangled thinking. Thir hoay suhaago — the bond of love made stable — a steady, lasting belonging.

A Question to Sit With

When does keeping score of status get in the way of being happy?
