Verse 2 of 3

Nothing Can Shake Your Own

tayro jan ho-ay so-ay kat dolai teen bhavan par chhaajaa.
How can Your humble servant waver? You spread Your shadow over the three worlds.
Who can raise his hand against Your humble servant? No one can describe the Lord's expanse. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

When you belong to the One, why would you tremble? Its shelter stretches over the whole of everything, like shade on a hot day.

No one can harm the person the One is protecting. And no one could ever measure how vast that protection is.

Belonging to the boundless One is a shelter nothing can breach.
The deeper layer

tayro jan ho-ay so-ay kat dolai — the One's own does not waver. teen bhavan par chhaajaa — its shade over the three worlds. bol sakai na andaajaa — beyond all measure. The security that comes from belonging to the boundless One.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel most safe and steady?
