Verse 3 of 5

It Holds Every Good Thing

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਆਰਾਧਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਧਿ ਆਪਾਰ ॥
saaDhsang aaraaDhnaa har niDh aapaar.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I worship and adore the Lord, the infinite treasure.
ਧਰਮ ਅਰਥ ਅਰੁ ਕਾਮ ਮੋਖ ਦੇਤੇ ਨਹੀ ਬਾਰ ॥੨॥
Dharam arath ar kaam mokh daytay nahee baar. ||2||
He does not hesitate to bless me with Dharmic faith, wealth, sexual success and liberation. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

In the Sangat I worship the One, the endless treasure.

The One does not hesitate to give everything worth having — right living, what you need to thrive, love, and true freedom.

Turn toward the deep treasure, and the good things you need tend to follow.
The deeper layer

Saadhsang aaraadhnaa, har nidh aapaar — the infinite treasure worshipped in the Sangat; dharam arath ar kaam mokh daytay nahee baar — the four classic aims of a human life, given freely. Every good thing follows from turning toward the One.

Saadhsang is the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One.

A Question to Sit With

What are the good things you most hope your life will hold?
