In plain words

Dear One, I long to behold the sight of you.

I cherish this beautiful practice day and night; you are dearer to me than my own soul, dearer than life itself.

When something becomes dearer to you than life itself, even the fear of losing your life loosens — because you've found something worth more than survival.
The deeper layer

"Dearer than my soul, dearer than life itself" — the superlative of love. When something becomes dearer than life, the fear of losing life loosens, because you have found something you value more than your own survival. This is quietly one of the raag's answers to the fear of death: not to deny death but to fall in love with something that outweighs it. The "beautiful meditation" cherished "day and night" is the continuous remembrance the raag keeps commending — not a chore but something cherished, held the way you hold the thought of someone you love when they're away.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to love something even more than you love being safe and comfortable?
