Verse 2 of 4

My God is the Master of the masterless.

Whenever something comes to mind, it is You.

Contemplating Your virtues, my mind is sanctified. ||2||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whenever anything comes to mind, it is you.

Thinking on your goodness, my mind is made clean.

When your attention keeps returning to what's good — so much that it comes up on its own — it slowly makes you clean inside. What you dwell on is what you become.
The deeper layer

This tiny verse describes a mind so saturated that "whenever something comes to mind, it is You." The One has become the default of consciousness — not a thought you have to summon, but the one that keeps arising on its own. This is the fruit of the continuous remembrance the raag keeps commending: not effortful concentration but a settled orientation, where attention keeps returning home like water finding its level. And the effect is cleansing: dwelling on the One's goodness "sanctifies the mind." What you keep your attention on shapes you. Keep it on goodness, and you are quietly made good.

A Question to Sit With

What do your thoughts keep drifting back to? How might that be shaping who you're becoming?
