The Arc
The celebrated Aartee of Ravi Daas. Its Rahao declares the Name itself the whole worship — lamp-waving and ritual bath alike — and every outer show empty without it. Verse by verse, each item of the worship-tray becomes the Name: prayer-mat, grinding stone, saffron, sandalwood, lamp, wick, oil, thread, garland, ceremonial fan. The close sets the world's whole sacred apparatus — eighteen Puranas, sixty-eight shrines, four sources of life — against one thing: the Sat Naam, offered as food to the beloved.
