The Lord Himself inspires them to serve Him; they are awakened within to the Guru's Teachings. ||1||

In plain words

The ones who keep the One in mind find their pain, their doubt, and their fear simply running off.

The One draws them into service, and inside them something wakes up through the teaching.

When you turn toward what is true, fear starts heading for the door.
The deeper layer

When people keep the One in mind, their fears start running away.

Tin kaa dookh bharam bha-o bhaagee — their pain, doubt, and fear run off. Bharam means doubt, the wobbly feeling of not being sure. Bha-o means fear. Picture a dark room when someone switches on the light. The shadows do not stay to argue. They just go.

The next line says who starts it all. Apnee sayvaa aap karaa-ee — the One itself sets them to serving. Then gurmat, the Guru's teaching, wakes something up inside them. That is antar jaagee, waking up within. So the first step comes from grace, not from us.

A Question to Sit With

What is a fear that got smaller once you faced it with someone beside you?
