In plain words

Even the mightiest kings and the richest landowners never reach the end of their wanting.

Wrapped up in their riches and dazzled by them, their eyes miss everything else there is to see.

Having more does not end wanting; only a different kind of fullness does.
The deeper layer

Even the richest kings never get to the end of their wanting.

Vaday vaday raajan — the very greatest kings and landlords. And still tarisan na boojhee, their thirst is never quenched. The problem is not that they have too little. It is that wanting has no bottom, like a bucket with a hole in it.

Lochan kachhoo na soojhee — their dazzled eyes see nothing else. Missing everything else is its own kind of being poor.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever gotten something you wanted and then quickly wanted the next thing?
