O Nanak, singing the Naam, the Name of the Immaculate Lord, all treasures are obtained.

Only that rare person, whom the Lord and Master blesses with His Grace, comes to know this. ||3||3||21||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Singing of the pure and spotless One, every treasure is found.

The One gives this gift by grace, and the rare heart that receives it comes to know it.

The deepest treasures are found not by grabbing but by receiving with an open heart.
The deeper layer

Everything worth having is in the Name, and knowing it is a gift.

Naanak naam niranjan gaa-ee-ai paa-ee-ai sarab niDhaanaa — singing the spotless Name, all treasures are found. Niranjan means spotless, with no stain at all.

Only a birlay, a rare one, comes to know this. That is not about leaving people out. It points to how the knowing comes. It is a gift of grace that you live, not a fact to memorize. It is like riding a bike. No one learns it from a list. It comes by doing, and then one day you just know.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you can only understand by living it, not just by being told?
