In plain words

The One is true, and true is the place where the One dwells.

Who could ever measure such worth? The One lives inside every single heart, the support of all — and I ask only to learn from the good and humble.

The same One lives inside every person you will ever meet.
The deeper layer

The same One lives in every heart.

saachaa saahib sach darbaar — the Master is true, and the Master's court is true. keemat ka-un kahai beechaar — who could ever measure that worth?

Then comes the widest note of the shabad. ghat ghat antar sagal aDhaar — the One is inside each and every heart, the support of all. Think of one sun shining in a thousand bowls of water. Each bowl shows the sun, and it is the same sun in every one. That is the oneness at the heart of Gurbani. The shabad ends with Nanak asking for the dust of the good, a wish to stay humble.

A Question to Sit With

If the same light shines in everyone, how might that change the way you treat people?
