In plain words

There is only One. And the One is found by the True Guru's grace — a gift that is always here, waiting for an open heart.

At home and out in the world, I lean on You — You are always right here with me.

Be kind to me, my Beloved, so that I may hold Your Name with love in everything I do.

Real trust is knowing you're accompanied wherever you go.
The deeper layer

At home or out in the world, I can trust the One, because the One is always with me.

The shabad begins with ik-onkaar satgur parsaad — there is One, known by the True Guru's grace. Then ghar baahar tayraa bharvaasaa — at home and outside, my trust is in You. Bharvaasaa means trust, the kind you can lean your whole weight on.

Too jan kai hai sang — You are always with Your humble one. It is like a parent's hand you can still feel when you walk into a new classroom. The One never leaves. The prayer is simple: to hold the Name har rang, colored with love.

A Question to Sit With

Where do you feel a steady sense that you're never alone?
