Within the home, and outside as well, the Lord and Master of His devotees is totally pervading and permeating everywhere. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Those who are close to the One are glad in every place they go.

Inside the house and out in the world, the One is already there, filling every single place.

There is no place you can go where the One is not already waiting.
The deeper layer

For people close to the One, joy is everywhere.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line at the center of the shabad. Santan ka-o anad sagal hee jaa-ee — the good ones are glad in every place. Anad means joy. Their joy is not like WiFi that only works in the kitchen. It goes with them.

Garihi baahar ... rav rahi-aa sarab thaa-ee — at home and outside, the One fills every place. The One is present evenly, everywhere. Nowhere you walk is outside that presence.

A Question to Sit With

Is there a place you think of as 'not good enough' for peace? What if peace were already there?
