Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Holding the One's feet deep inside mind and body,

Nanak, the servant, has found the One — the treasure where peace is kept.

The treasure of peace was inside you the whole time.
The deeper layer

The treasure of peace is inside you, where it has been the whole time.

Man tan antar charan Dhi-aa-i-aa — holding the One's presence deep inside mind and body. The key word is antar, within. It pulls together the inner thread of the whole shabad.

Then comes har sukh niDhaan. The One is the storehouse where peace is kept. All the earlier pictures of wealth — robes, elephants, chariots — were "as if." This is the real thing. It is like hunting all over the house for your glasses and finding them on top of your head.

A Question to Sit With

Where inside yourself do you go to find a little peace?
