In plain words

Facing the Guru with love, you find the home of natural ease.

Without meeting the Guru, you keep wandering, coming and going, never settled.

Ease is a home you find, not one you build.
The deeper layer

The home of calm you are looking for is already inside you.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. Gurmukh bhagat sahj ghar paa-ee-ai: through loving devotion, you find the sahj ghar, the home of natural ease. A gurmukh is someone whose face is turned toward the Guru's teaching.

This home is not something you build. You find it, like a key that was in your pocket all along. You find it by turning toward the teaching. Without meeting a living guide, the mind keeps going around in circles, like someone lost, driving round and round the same block.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel most at home inside yourself?
