Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You end things and you bring them back to life. You forgive, and you fold us into yourself. When it pleases you, you set your Name singing in us. You know and see everything, and you are real. Please give me the teaching -- I trust you alone.
Even the wish to remember the One is itself a gift from the One.
The One's actions are total -- kills and revives, forgives, merges. Even devotion itself is given: "You inspire us to chant" -- realization is grace from start to finish. The pauri ends in petition: bless me with the Guru's teachings.
A Question to Sit With
Have you ever noticed that wanting to do something good can feel like a gift in itself?
