ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
tan meh mail naahee man raataa.
One whose mind is attuned to the Lord, has no pollution in his body.
ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥
gur bachnee sach sabad pachhaataa.
Through the Guru's Word, the True Shabad is realized.
ਤੇਰਾ ਤਾਣੁ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
tayraa taan naam kee vadi-aa-ee.
All Power is Yours, through the greatness of Your Name.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰਹਣਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੦॥
naanak rahnaa bhagat sarnaa-ee. ||4||10||
Nanak abides in the Sanctuary of Your devotees. ||4||10||

A mind tuned to the One carries no stain. Through the teacher's word, the true Word becomes real. All power is yours. And I make my home among those who love you.
A mind tuned to the One stays clean -- and finds its home among those who love it.
A mind attuned to the One is unstained -- not by scrubbing but by orientation. The Shabad is realized through the Guru's word. The closing locates Nanak in Sangat -- the sanctuary of the devotees -- the social form of refuge.
