And in that meeting they reach the highest place there is: complete, settled, home.
The shabad ends with meeting the One, and reaching the highest place a person can reach.
Jeevan purakh mili-aa har raa-i-aa — they meet the One who gives life, the King of all. Param pad paa-i-aa — they reach the highest state.
Param pad is not a place on a map. It is a deep settledness of the soul. Think of the feeling of walking into your own home after a long, tiring day, dropping your bag, and letting out a breath. Everything is where it should be.
