The Creator Lord abides in Nanak's mind. ||4||50||119||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Pain, ache, doubt, and fear -- all of it lifted and ran off. The Creator has come to live in my mind, and that presence is what chased the shadows out.
When presence comes to live in the mind, the shadows simply go.
The closing couplet. Dookh darad bharam bha-o nasi-aa -- pain, ache, doubt, fear all fled. Karanhaar naanak man basi-aa -- the Creator dwells in the mind. The shabad closes the arc it opened: the restless, anxious mind of the first line is now a home where the Creator lives, and the shadows have simply gone.
A Question to Sit With
What is the difference between a mind full of worry and a mind full of something good?
