Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Those touched by kindness find their way into good company, and there they turn together toward the One who sustains all the world. That turning is where the emptiness fills in.
Kindness leads you into good company, and there the emptiness quietly fills in.
The closing couplet. Jaa ka-o bha-ay da-i-aalaa -- those to whom the One is merciful. Saadhsang mil bhajeh gopaalaa -- join good company and remember the Sustainer (gopaal, keeper of the world). The shabad closes on grace and community: the hollow scarecrow of verse two is filled not by more outer show but by kindness leading a person into good company.
