Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Wherever I go, my Beloved is right there with me — never left behind, never far away.

I have met the One who knows my heart from the inside, who reads every quiet thing I feel.

The One you seek is already with you, wherever you go.
The deeper layer

The closing signature line resolves the whole shabad. It opened by blessing a place; it ends by dissolving the idea that the divine is confined to any place at all. Jah jaa-ee-ai tah naal — "wherever I go, there You are with me." The antarjaamee is the "Inner-knower," the presence that searches and understands the heart. The blessed place turns out to be portable: it is wherever you are, once you notice the One already there.

A Question to Sit With

How would your day feel if you remembered you are never actually alone in it?
