Very blessed, stable and sublime is that place,

where the Name of God alone is chanted. ||3||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Truly lucky and truly steady is the place where the Name of the One is remembered — where people simply turn their hearts toward the divine.
Nothing shakes a place like that. It stands firm.
Turn toward what cannot be shaken, and you begin to grow steady too.
Nihchal thaan — the unshakable place. Earlier the shabad blessed the place of remembrance; here it calls that place steady, unmoving. In Gurbani, what is remembered gives its own quality to the one remembering: turn toward the changeless One, and something changeless begins to steady you too. The "place" is finally less a location than a settled inner state.
A Question to Sit With
What helps you feel steady inside, even when everything around you is moving fast?
