The One Beyond Cannot Be Grasped by Thinking

ਮਨ ਏਕੋ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਭਾਈ ਰੇ ॥
man ayko saahib bhaa-ee ray.
The One Lord and Master is pleasing to my mind.
tayray teen gunaa sansaar samaaveh alakh na lakh-naa jaa-ee ray. ||1|| rahaa-o.
In Your three qualities, the world is engrossed; the Unknowable cannot be known. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The One alone delights my mind. The whole world is caught up in the three changing qualities -- and the One beyond them cannot be grasped by the grasping mind.

The world is busy in the three qualities; the One beyond them is not grasped by thinking.
The deeper layer

The Rahao. The world is engrossed in the three qualities; the verse says the Unknowable cannot be known. Commentators often connect this with the language of a state beyond the trai gun, though the verse itself does not define that state or prescribe a method -- what it does say is that the One alone pleases this mind.

A Question to Sit With

Is there something you can only understand by loving it, not by analyzing it?
