The one who is truly devoted — beyond any label — is the person who has quietly let go of what pulls them out of shape.
That letting-go, not the name they wear, is what makes them real.
The closing signature makes a striking move. So baisno — "that is the true Vaishnav" (a worshipper of Vishnu). But Guru Arjan redefines the title from the inside: the real Vaishnav is jin tajay bikaar — "the one who has let go of the corruptions." This is classic Gurbani evenhandedness: the label from another tradition is honored, then filled with inner substance. Being truly devoted is not about the name of your path but about the letting-go of what distorts the heart.
