In plain words

In the good company of fellow seekers, even those closest to me are lifted along with me — the goodness spreads.

So let me hold the Name of the One close, and worship it with a whole heart.

Goodness found in good company doesn't stay locked in you — it spreads to everyone you love.
The deeper layer

The closing signature. Saadhsang mil du-ay kul saadh — "joining the company of the holy, both families are redeemed." Du-ay kul means "both lines," an old way of saying the good you find doesn't stay locked in you — it reaches those bound to you, spreading outward. The shabad that began by naming what deserts us ends by naming what multiplies: goodness found in good company, shared with everyone we love. Aaraadh — worship, adore — is the warm, wholehearted holding-close of the One.

A Question to Sit With

When you become a little better, who around you feels the good effects of that?
