ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਣਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਆ ਸੋਈ ਸਾਰ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
naanak karnaa jin kee-aa so-ee saar karay-i.
O Nanak, the One who created the creation - He alone takes care of it.
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੀ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਕਿਸੈ ਵਡਾਈ ਦੇਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੮॥
hukam na jaapee khasam kaa kisai vadaa-ee day-ay. ||4||1||18||
The Hukam of our Lord and Master's Command cannot be known; He Himself blesses us with greatness. ||4||1||18||

The One who made everything is the One who looks after it. The flow of the One's will cannot be fully figured out -- and the One alone grants true greatness.
The One who made everything also cares for it -- and true greatness is given, not grabbed.
The resolution returns to Hukam and the Giver: the Creator is also the sustainer (cf. kudrat, the creative power the One dwells within). The Will is beyond knowing, so the right response is trust, not calculation. Real greatness is given, not seized -- a final answer to the striving of the previous pauri.
