Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

O my mind, sing the good qualities of the Oneness — let the Name be your song. Serve it faithfully, day after ordinary day, and with each breath you take, in and out, quietly turn your attention toward the One.

Remembrance can be as constant and easy as breathing.
The deeper layer

Man raam naam gun gaa-ee-ai — sing the gun (virtues) of the Name. The Pause makes remembrance continuous and unforced: neet neet ("day after day") and saas saas ("breath by breath"). This is simran woven into the fabric of an ordinary life — not a special ritual set apart, but a thread running through all of it, as constant and easy as breathing.

A Question to Sit With

What is something good you could weave into your ordinary day, breath by breath?
