Arrive at the Real and the Running Stops

ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
har bisraam niDh paa-i-aa.
Those who have found the Lord, the Treasure of peace,
ਸੋ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਕਤ ਹੀ ਧਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
so bahur na kat hee Dhaa-i-aa. ||3||
shall not go anywhere else again. ||3||

In plain words

Those who have found the Oneness — the treasure that is also a place of rest — stop running. The restless dashing here and there, always looking for the next thing, comes to an end, because they have finally arrived somewhere real.

When you finally arrive at what's real, the restless running stops.
The deeper layer

This one says that when you arrive at what is real, the restless running stops.

Har bisraam niDh paa-i-aa — they have found the One, the bisraam niDh. It means the "treasure of rest." So bahur na kat hee Dhaa-i-aa — they do not run off anywhere again. The running here is the mind's constant chasing. Now, at last, it stops.

Think of a lost kid in a crowded mall who finally spots their parent. All the searching and dashing ends in one big hug.

Rest, in Gurbani, is not laziness. It is the deep stillness of someone who has stopped searching, because they have been found.

A Question to Sit With

What are you always chasing — and what would it feel like to have already arrived?
