In plain words

This is the real seeker: the one who works out how to actually live it. They quiet the five restless pulls inside, and hold the Truth safe in the heart.

The real seeker quiets the five restless pulls and holds Truth in the heart.
The deeper layer

A real seeker is someone who has learned how to live the truth, not just talk about it.

This line is the rahaa-o, the "pause." It is the center of the shabad, the main idea everything else circles around. Aisaa jogee jugat beechaarai — such a yogi thinks deeply about the Way. A jogee, or yogi, is a seeker. Jugat is the practical way, how you actually live from day to day.

Next comes panch maar, mastering the five. The five are craving, anger, greed, clinging, and pride. Picture five noisy passengers in a car, each grabbing the wheel to go their own way. The seeker calms them down so the car can go straight.

Then saach ur dhaarai — they hold Truth safe in the heart. Real practice happens inside first, not on the outside.

A Question to Sit With

Which of the five pulls — wanting, anger, greed, clinging, pride — tugs at you most?
