Stay Wrapped in Awe, Lovingly Tuned to the One

ਭੈ ਰਚਿ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
bhai rach rahai na baahar jaa-ay.
They remain absorbed in the fear of God; they never leave it.
ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਉਣ ਰਹੈ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੫॥
keemat ka-un rahai liv laa-ay. ||5||
Who can estimate their value? They remain lovingly absorbed in the Lord. ||5||

In plain words

They stay wrapped in reverent awe and never wander outside it. How could anyone even measure a person who stays lovingly tuned to the One like that?

Stay wrapped in reverent awe, lovingly tuned to the One — beyond all measuring.
The deeper layer

A real seeker lives wrapped in awe and love for the One.

Bhai rach rahai — they stay soaked in bhai, reverent awe. This is not being scared. It is the feeling of standing under a huge night sky, or at the edge of the ocean. Na baahar jaa-ay — they never wander outside that feeling.

Liv laa-ay — they stay lovingly tuned to the One. It is like a phone that stays connected to WiFi all day and never drops the signal.

Keemat ka-un — who could measure the worth of such a life? No one can. In a life like this, awe and love hold each other.

A Question to Sit With

What fills you with awe so completely that you don’t want to look away?
