In plain words

Someone who stays clear and unstained lives by true actions alone.

Humbly walking with the teaching, they reach the highest, calmest state.

Their mind makes peace with itself, and the ego's endless wandering finally stops.

Live cleanly and humbly, and the mind makes peace with itself; the ego's wandering stops.
The deeper layer

Living cleanly and humbly lets the mind finally make peace with itself.

Rahai niraalam aykaa sach karnee — staying pure and unstained, doing only true deeds. Truthful living shows up again. Param pad paa-i-aa sayvaa gur charnee — the highest state comes through humble service at the Guru's feet. That is how a person stands when they have no pride to protect.

Then the gentle ending. Man tay man maani-aa — the mind makes peace with the mind. Chookee aham bharmanee — the wandering of the ego stops. Aham is the "I, me, mine" voice inside.

Think of a puppy that has run in circles all day and finally curls up to sleep. The restlessness in the earlier verses finally comes to rest.

A Question to Sit With

What helps your mind stop wandering and feel at peace with itself?
