In plain words

When grace opens my understanding, everything finally makes sense, and my inner accounts settle down.

For in every single heart lives the Name of the spotless One. That is my true Master, living in all.

The One lives in every single heart; once you truly grasp that, your inner confusion settles.
The deeper layer

The One lives in every heart, and once you truly see that, the tangle inside you settles.

Gur parsaadee boojh lay — by the Guru's grace, understanding comes. Ta-o ho-ay nibayraa — then the account is settled. Nibayraa means settling up, like a long argument finally sorted out. The confusion inside is resolved.

The shining line is ghar ghar naam niranjanaa. Ghar ghar means "house after house," in every home and every heart. There lives the Name of the niranjan, the spotless One.

This is Ik Onkar, "there is One," brought close to home. The One is not far away in a building. The One is present in everyone, rich or poor, from every background. Picture every window on your street glowing with the same warm light. Understand that, and the accounts inside you settle.

A Question to Sit With

If the same One lives in every person's heart, how might you look at strangers differently?
